Volunteering for Events
Here you can also inquire about volunteering for events that need your support. Have a look at the events below. If there are any events which require volunteers, complete the Volunteer Application Form and submit it to the BC Cancer Foundation. You may also use the same form to let us know about your interest in volunteering for future events that are not listed here.

The Road to Port Hardy Charity Ride
Monday, August 16 - Thursday, August 19th
Victoria to Port Hardy

The Road to Port Hardy is a 4-day, 525km, completely unsupported solo bike ride by Frans Jonker in support of the BC Cancer Foundation. Frans will ride from Victoria to Port Hardy and each day's ride will be in excess of 125km on a mountain bike without any support vehicle.

Chikara's Cause

Chikara Kickboxing and Total Fitness

Join us for a half marathon, Volleyball tournament and for those who do not want to participate in the atheletic events of the day, an outdoor barbecue. A silent auction, Magic Show and face painting for the kids are also included.

All funds raised will support esophogeal cancer research.

Cancer Awareness Pin

The Cancer Awareness Pin (CAP) is an initiative created by Jane Danzo. Whether it is worn as a symbol of support, remembrance or courage, the pin serves as a reminder to those who see it that cancer is amongst us and that early detection can be life-saving.
