Read the latest news and research breakthroughs happening at the BC Cancer Agency

Since 2004, the Weekend to End Women’s Cancers has provided over $20 million in support to the BC Cancer Agency. The event has grown into a powerful symbol of the commitment to improving the lives of B.C. women facing cancer. As the first of the Foundation’s major events, it was the catalyst for similar events that followed, and it is has shaped how such fundraising events occur. It has also grown from a walk into a movement.
The 2011 Weekend was our last, but it is by no means our last journey together. The time has come for us to collectively celebrate what this event has enabled. Change is occurring, and its momentum — momentum created by Weekend walkers — will take us even further. We are in a time of both awe and anticipation, and we must use those feelings to keep us moving forward as ambassadors of how philanthropy and research can change the face of cancer in B.C., in Canada and across the world.
When one chapter ends, another begins, and we hope you will channel your commitment to women’s cancers toward one of our other exciting events
