As we prepare to celebrate Chinese New Year and welcome the Year of the Tiger, I thought it seemed like a good time to draw your attention to a very cool opportunity to observe tigers up close and personal while benefiting the BC Cancer Foundation.
The event was so successful that Indus has decided to launch a second tour – Tiger Trekking in India. Now this is truly going to be a once-in-a-lifetime adventure.
For 13 days you will travel through India’s great game parks and explore ancient temples and opulent palaces, including the Taj Mahal.
With just 1,000 Royal Bengal Tigers left in India, (there were about 40,000 in 1947), traveling through the Bandhavgarh National Park and Kanha Tiger Reserve you will see nature like never before and the endangered tigers up close.
Did I mention you’ll be traveling partly on elephant back?
The tour leader is Dr. Divyabhanushinh Chavda, a world leader in the study and conservation of these giant felines.
You can find out more by contacting Indus Travels.
Meanwhile, I wish you all a very happy new year – gung hei fat choi.
