Mulgrave School's students are proud to present A Kind of Alaska.
Intricately exploring themes of time, consciousness, and memory, Nobel-prize winning playwright Harold Pinter brings alive these themes with day-to-day humour and vibrant characters. "A Kind of Alaska" is a short play to be performed in support of cancer research and sharing the arts to a supportive community!
The story follows a 16-year-old girl waking up after a 29 year coma. She seems to have the angst and energy of a teenager at times, while she also has times of calm and uncertainty. Meanwhile, her sister and doctor struggle between telling her the truth, and telling lies.
Whether you want to remember similar times of your teen years during the festive times of December or are interested in this charming tale, bring your family and friends to this performance by Mulgrave School to support leading-edge cancer research and innovative technology to combat cancer. All admissions will go towards BC Cancer Foundation.
