Hope and optimism are creating change at the BC Cancer Agency.

This year, more than 110,000 British Columbians partnered with the BC Cancer Foundation to raise a record $50.4 million dollars for innovative research and enhancements to patient care at the BC Cancer Agency.

Our donors know the difference that can be made when philanthropy and research come together. Philanthropy is the spark that accelerates breakthrough discoveries. Research provides the evidence to show how we can improve care and treatment. And, most importantly, better treatments make a difference to the lives of the 24,000 British Columbians who will be diagnosed with cancer this year.

Research is working. Treatments are more effective, have fewer side effects, and are allowing people to live longer with a better quality of life. More people are experiencing the “new normal” of life after cancer.

From transformative personal gifts to the incredible momentum created by our signature events, our donors are leading the way. Research and philanthropy are partners in discovery. This partnership strengthens our belief that we can achieve a world free from cancer.
