“With continued support, we can help more families stay together and share in many more moments of healing and connection.”
– Ben Yeung and Jane Young, Peterson
As we come together to celebrate family, health and hope for the Mid-Autumn Festival, the BC Cancer Foundation is pleased to announce a limited-time opportunity to make a difference in your community.
Until October 31, Peterson and the Yeung family are generously matching donations to support the BC Cancer Vancouver – Technology Transformation campaign.
Every donation to the Technology Transformation campaign will be matched dollar-for-dollar, up to an incredible $1 million.
Cancer diagnoses in B.C. are expected to increase by 33% over the next decade, due to an aging and growing population.
To meet these challenges, BC Cancer Foundation has launched a Technology Transformation campaign to equip BC Cancer with state-of-the-art diagnostic, imaging and treatment technologies, including:
With these advanced technologies, BC Cancer clinicians and researchers can detect cancer earlier, deliver personalized treatments and accelerate research to improve outcomes for families across British Columbia.
As families gather for the Mid-Autumn Festival, we are reminded of the enduring importance of togetherness, health and hope.
Cancer is a disease that impacts almost everyone. Like so many families, cancer has personally affected Ben Yeung and Jane Young.
Their family experienced firsthand the exceptional care BC Cancer offers. First, with their late mother Rose, following her breast cancer diagnosis — her care that gave her more than 20 years of good health and extended her precious time with loved ones. Then, through Jane’s own personal journey with breast cancer shortly after her mom’s diagnosis.
To honour their late parents — the founders of Peterson — Ben and Jane are committed to continuing their legacy of giving by matching your donations and bringing hope to thousands of other families in B.C.

Donate by October 31. Every dollar stays in B.C. to advance world-class cancer care.
