We are proud to share the news that Dr. Paris Ingledew has been appointed the permanent executive vice president and chief medical officer (CMO) at BC Cancer — a historic and exciting milestone for cancer care in British Columbia.
Dr. Ingledew’s appointment marks a new chapter in the strong and enduring collaboration between BC Cancer and the BC Cancer Foundation — a partnership grounded in our shared vision of advancing bold, innovative solutions to improve outcomes and experiences for patients across the province.
The Foundation is also pleased to welcome Dr. Ingledew to the BC Cancer Foundation Board of Directors.

As the first woman to hold the role of CMO at BC Cancer, Dr. Ingledew’s appointment represents a meaningful step forward in leadership, representation and progress.
A radiation oncologist at BC Cancer since 2007, Dr. Ingledew has served in a multitude of leadership roles — most recently as the department head, radiation oncology at BC Cancer – Vancouver — and has worked at three of BC Cancer’s six regional centres.
An accomplished educator and mentor, she is the recipient of numerous awards for her outstanding contributions to medical education.
As a researcher, Dr Ingledew is a leader and an established scholar nationally and internationally in medical education. She is the chair of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons Specialty Committee for radiation oncology.
Dr. Ingledew’s leadership since assuming the interim CMO role in June 2025 reflects a shared purpose with the Foundation: delivering the highest quality, cutting-edge cancer care to improve outcomes for patients and their families at every stage of their journey.
