Introducing August Guest Bloggers: Dr. Miriam Rosin and the BC Oral Cancer Prevention Program Team
August 6, 2014
Thank you to Dr. François Bachand for taking us behind the scenes at the BC Cancer Agency Sindi Ahluwalia Hawkins Centre for the Southern Interior. Brachytherapy is a truly revolutionary treatment method that is bringing new hope to cancer patients in B.C. and Dr. Bachand and his colleagues are taking huge strides to make it more widely-available.
For August, we are trying something new: we are very pleased to welcome a whole team of expert scientists and researchers from the BC Oral Cancer Prevention Program (BC OCPP) as our guest bloggers for the month.
The BC OCPP aims to reduce the incidence and mortality of oral cancer by developing, validating and adopting new techniques to manage and prevent disease. They work closely with community health professionals to ensure seamless management of oral cancer and strive to share successful models of treatment and care on a global scale.
Over the next few weeks Senior Scientist Dr. Miriam Rosin and her colleagues will take turns sharing how they work together as a team to find better treatment and prevention solutions for patients in B.C. I hope you will join me in following their stories throughout this month.
Thanks for reading,
Doug
