ITM, CHMB AM1320 and the BC Cancer Foundation are partnering together again to host a Glamour Gala Dinner.

March 10, 2010, Vancouver, B.C. – Young fashion models in elegant gowns, escorted by prominent cancer researchers in crisp white lab coats, walked an improvised runway at the BC Cancer Agency Research Centre as ITM and CHMB AM1320 announced their continuing partnership with the BC Cancer Foundation at the launch of the 6th annual River Rock Resort ITM-NSR Model Look North America 2010 today.

ITM, CHMB AM1320 and the BC Cancer Foundation are partnering together again to host a Glamour Gala Dinner, benefitting the BC Cancer Foundation, followed by the ITM Finale, on July 8, 2010 at the River Rock Show Theatre in Richmond. This year’s proceeds will enable the Foundation to support the purchase of a second PET/CT scanner for the BC Cancer Agency.

“The BC Cancer Foundation is honoured and grateful that our partners at CHMB AM1320 and ITM continue to help us raise awareness and funds for the leading cancer research and care provided by the BC Cancer Agency,” said Douglas Nelson, President & CEO of BC Cancer Foundation.

“We are very excited about our continued partnership,” said James Ho, President of ITM International Top Model Corp. “Not only will the proceeds help support the BC Cancer Agency, the event is also an excellent platform to educate the general public about the Foundation and Agency’s invaluable work for British Columbians. This is especially important for new Canadians to our province.”

Four hundred supporters attended the Glamour Gala Dinner last year. “The models will become ambassadors for the BC Cancer Foundation,” said Teresa Wat, CEO & COO of CHMB AM1320. “Today’s mini fashion show connected the young models who have taken part in the ITM event with the scientists who will benefit from the proceeds.” In addition to the Top Model contest, the BC Cancer Foundation and CHMB AM1320 are presenting an eight-part radio series featuring BC Cancer Agency scientists and researchers.

“There are so many levels to the ITM Model Look event,” said Liang Shugen, Consul General of the People’s Republic of China in Vancouver. “Other than the partnership with the BC Cancer Foundation, ITM promotes synergies and cooperation between Canada and China in the fashion, entertainment and tourism industries.”

River Rock Casino Resort is the title sponsor of the 2010 event. “We are proud to host ITM-NSR Model Look for the fifth consecutive year,” said Howard Blank, Vice President of Media and Entertainment of Great Canadian Gaming Corp. “As an organization that is always looking to give back to the local community, we are especially pleased to see the continued partnership between ITM, CHMB AM1320 and the BC Cancer Foundation.”

ITM is now accepting entries for this year’s contest until May 5, 2010, from females between the ages of 15 and 26 who are passionate about the fashion industry and who aspire to become a top international model. There are over $10,000 in prizes, including an all-expense paid trip to China to compete in China’s largest and most prestigious modeling competition. Interested individuals can apply directly online or download an application form on ITM’s official website (www.itmmodel.com).
