• Cutting-edge Technologies: BC Cancer has acquired some of the world’s most advanced research and care technologies — including B.C.’s first PSMA/PET scanners to greatly enhance prostate cancer diagnosis and care, and new PET/CT scanners in Victoria and Kelowna to expand access to this critical imaging beyond Vancouver for the first time.
• New BC Cancer Centres: Four new centres are set to open by 20 30 in Surrey, Burnaby, Nanaimo and Kamloops. These centres will bring care closer to home for patients and families across B.C and increase BC Cancer’s capacity to deliver life-saving care. The BC Cancer Foundation is fundraising a combined $55 million to equip the new centres with cutting-edge technologies.
• Revolutionized Supportive Care: Donor generosity has funded BC Cancer’s first dedicated supportive care spaces in Vancouver and Victoria and is driving new research that harnesses the power of AI to improve mental health support for patients.
