Expand Care Capacity

The new centre will deliver timely care to patients in Burnaby and the rapidly growing Fraser region — the fastest growing region in B.C.

Offer Cutting-Edge Services

Patients will benefit from 54 ambulatory care rooms, 31 chemotherapy chairs, an oncology pharmacy, five linear accelerators for radiation therapy and two PET/CT scanners

Accelerate Innovative Research

The new centre will feature space for leading-edge clinical trials to advance vital research across all cancer areas.

Meeting Care Needs in Burnaby and Beyond

The new BC Cancer – Burnaby McCarthy Centre will meet the growing demand for cancer care in Burnaby and Fraser region communities, where over 10,000 new cancer cases are diagnosed every year.

The BC Cancer Foundation is proud to support the new centre’s development through a $10 million fundraising campaign. The funds raised will equip the centre with state-of-the-art technologies and research facilities.

Construction is currently underway, with the centre expected to open in 2030.
