Hello everyone, I’m Lou Del Gobbo, Interim President & CEO of the BC Cancer Foundation, and I’m very pleased to introduce our September guest blogger.
Before I share what’s coming up this month on the blog, I want to extend a warm thank you to outgoing BC Cancer Foundation President & CEO Doug Nelson for his leadership over the past six years and wish him all the best as he embarks on an exciting new role in San Francisco.
Doug leaves behind an enormous list of accomplishments and has positioned the BC Cancer Foundation for continued success in the future. I am honoured to lead our talented team into a busy fall!
Thank you to our August guest blogger Dr. Catherine Poh, for highlighting the incredible strides in oral cancer research and enhancements to care happening in B.C.
Joining us on the blog for September is Dr. Will Lockwood, an expert in lung cancer research and scientist in the genetics unit of the BC Cancer Agency’s department of Integrative Oncology. I encourage you to read along as Dr. Lockwood shares a behind-the-scenes look at his research over the next few weeks.
