As the Chair of the BC Cancer Foundation Board, I am pleased to announce that Sarah Roth joins the Foundation today, as its new President & CEO.

Sarah brings an extensive 20 year career in fundraising and leadership to the BC Cancer Foundation. She has had exceptional success leading teams through large scale fundraising initiatives for Boston Children’s Hospital and New York Presbyterian Hospital.

Most recently, Sarah was the Assistant Dean of Development and Alumni Relations in the University of British Columbia’s Faculty of Medicine.

In this leadership role, Sarah built a team that launched and completed a $440 million, seven-year campaign, which included the Faculty’s largest-ever donation.

The search for a new President & CEO was an international and competitive process with extraordinary interest from talented leaders from around the world.  We are fortunate to have found a leader here in B.C. with international experience and a strong background in health that will bring the skill and passion necessary to advance the BC Cancer Foundation’s mission of funding world-leading research in partnership with the BC Cancer Agency.

I am certain Sarah’s expertise, energy, collaborative nature and strategic vision for growth at the Foundation will ensure priority cancer research projects at the BC Cancer Agency continue to be innovative and advance cancer care for the people of B.C.

On behalf of the BC Cancer Foundation’s Board of Directors, we welcome Sarah to the team.
