A MESSAGE TO OUR SUPPORTERS IN THE MIDST OF COVID-19

March 17, 2020

Found in General,  Gratitude

BC Cancer Foundation CEO, Sarah Roth

Dear BC Cancer Foundation family,

This is a challenging time for our community. In the midst of the escalating impacts of COVID-19, our hearts go out to those most vulnerable, those delivering care and supporters like you, around the province, who are having to quickly adapt to changing circumstances.

Together, we have proven our strength, compassion and ability to improve the health of British Columbians and we will continue to do so. With teamwork, we are committed to do our part to help reduce the impact of COVID-19 while we continue to support BC Cancer patients and their families.

Our team is operating with both caution and optimism while being accessible to you as we navigate through uncharted territory together. BC Cancer Foundation staff are practicing social distancing protocols, working remotely, available to you over the phone and through digital channels and exploring new ways to connect with our community.

We want to share our gratitude with our many community partners who have had to cancel fundraising events – we appreciate your hard work and commitment. Together we will forge ahead and find new ways to collaborate and change cancer outcomes.

Patients facing cancer are a vulnerable population at this time but we have the utmost confidence in BC Cancer, who are world-leading in the care they deliver. We remain steadfast in our support for BC Cancer experts, who continue to innovate care in the face of this unprecedented adversity. For BC Cancer patient information relating to COVID-19, please visit www.bccancer.bc.ca/covid19.

On behalf of BC Cancer Foundation, thank you for being a part of our community. With our shared diligence and compassion at this time, we will be here for those who need us the most.

Thank you,
