BC Cancer Foundation Workplace Champions
Our Workplace Champions are a passionate group of volunteers from across the province who support the BC Cancer Foundation within their organizations.
United in their commitment to create meaningful change and bring hope to thousands of patients and their families, Workplace Champions raise awareness and drive fundraising initiatives within their workplaces to help fuel cancer research and care in B.C.
What Does a Workplace Champion Do?
As a Workplace Champion, you’ll play a key role in rallying your workplace and inspiring your colleagues to support life-saving cancer research and care.
Working in partnership with Foundation team members, you’ll:
-
- Share Foundation news and initiatives, including impactful stories and progress being made at BC Cancer, through relevant communication channels in the workplace
- Identify workplace philanthropy initiatives (e.g., employee giving programs, corporate foundations)
- Lead or host fundraising activities (e.g., peer-to-peer challenges, workplace events, giving campaigns)
- Boost awareness about the Foundation’s mission, and encourage support and contributions
Why Become a Workplace Champion?
Cancer touches us all, whether directly or indirectly. With one in two British Columbians facing cancer in their lifetime, your support has never been more important.
This is a wonderful opportunity to make a positive change in your community, while also building a strong culture of giving back within your organization.
Volunteering as a Workplace Champion enables you to:
-
- Raise vital funds for advancing innovative breakthroughs in cancer research and accelerating access to world-class care for patients across B.C.
- Demonstrate your organization’s commitment to social responsibility
- Contribute to a positive, inclusive work environment that encourages teamwork
- Attend exciting Foundation panels and events, tour BC Cancer centres and more

We’re here for you, every step of the way.
