Vancouver Island Community Support in Full Bloom
Vancouver Island grocers have united to raise funds for the development of the new BC Cancer – Nanaimo.
From Feb. 27 to March 20, 2026, proceeds from the sale of each potted gerbera or cyclamen plant will go towards the new BC Cancer centre in Nanaimo.
With over half of Vancouver Island’s population residing north of the Malahat, the new centre is essential for improving access to care for families up Island and helping reduce the emotional, physical and financial burden of traveling for treatment.
With your support, Island residents can access timely, world-class care and cutting-edge treatments and technology.
Plants can be purchased at the following participating grocers: Red Barn Market, Country Grocer, Thrifty Foods, Fairway market and Tru Value Foods.
Purchase a potted plant in-store, or donate online today, to bring cancer care closer to home for patients in our communities.
