We are partnering with the provincial government to support the development of a second BC Cancer Centre in Surrey. In the last year, Surrey’s population growth almost doubled that of Vancouver. A new cancer centre is a vital necessity for the increased health needs of local families.

Clinical trials are essential to advancing cancer research and care, and BC Cancer – Abbotsford is actively participating in these trials thanks to donor support. This leading-edge program is making significant strides in improving patient outcomes.

As part of their commitment to the local community, the Surrey Fire Fighters Charitable Society has generously donated $500,000 to support the second BC Cancer centre in Surrey and bring expanded access to cancer care close to home for Fraser region patients and families.
A group of Fraser region business leaders led by Manjit Lit have come together to raise over $260,000 for the BC Cancer Foundation to support BC Cancer – Surrey’s chemotherapy suite expansion.

Grateful for the care she received at BC Cancer — Surrey, Catherine and her husband Dan raised more than $14,000 to help fuel the expansion of Surrey's chemo suite — which will allow for 700 to 900 more chemo infusions a month.
The women behind the annual No One Untouched fundraiser, each affected by cancer through their own journey or by supporting loved ones, unite to raise funds for the new BC Cancer centre in Surrey.
“Among the many challenges of a cancer diagnosis are the need to travel for care and the wait for a diagnosis and treatment. The new BC Cancer centre will provide cancer care and support within our community, helping reduce wait times,” the group shares.
