Mary is a co-chair of DLA Piper’s Canadian Restructuring Group, and a partner in the Vancouver office. She specializes in the area of commercial insolvency, representing financial institutions, debtors and creditors, receivers and trustees in all matters related to debt restructuring, corporate reorganizations, loan workouts, fraudulent preference actions, bankruptcy and receiverships. She also has anti-trust and class-action litigation experience. She has been counsel in insolvency matters in Ontario, British Columbia and New Brunswick, and has appeared at the Supreme Court of Canada. Mary also teaches Insolvency Law at the University of British Columbia law school.
