Dr. Juanita Crook Radiation Oncologist Dr. Juanita Crook is a radiation oncologist at the BC Cancer Agency Sindi Ahulwalia Hawkins Centre for the Southern Interior, a pioneer in the field of brachytherapy research and past Chair of the American Brachytherapy Society. Dr. Crook studied biology at the University of Toronto and trained in radiation oncology at Princess Margaret Hospital, followed by a post-graduate fellowship in Creteil, France, outside of Paris. Upon returning to Canada, she began working in Ottawa on the first Canadian brachytherapy program. Dr. Crook went on to establish a successful program for prostate brachytherapy at Princess Margaret Hospital before bringing her expertise to the BC Cancer Agency in Kelowna.
